Some of the obvious marks of our church that you will see here include:
1. We are community oriented. Yes, we may be newer to the community but we are working hard @ making a difference in the city we love (Check out our ministry sections and small group section to get more involved)! This just means we want to make a noticeable impact around our Church and in our community!
2. We emphasize strong biblical teaching from beginning to end! We want the people of our church to be EQUIPPED spiritually.
3. We place a strong emphasis on the KINGDOM. The Jesus of Scripture teaches us to be a people of the KINGDOM! So you will get a heavy dose of KINGDOM talk @ FJC.

ONE MORE... THE BIG ONE THAT SETS US APART:
4. We totally emphasize FAMILY! Not just "bring your family", or do family oriented things but you are absolutely a BROTHER or a SISTER here! Jesus teaches us all about this in scripture and even though some churches talk about family, the reality is most churches don't live the family life out as Jesus intended.
Let me show you a few things in scripture that make my point:
Haven't you ever found it to be strange that Jesus says things like:
Anyone who loves his (biological) family more than me isn't worthy of the Kingdom? (Matt. 10:37-39)
What about when Jesus is summoned by his mother and brother and He responds by stating that those who do the will of God are His mothers and brothers? (Matthew 12:46-50)
Jesus took what was already difficult (Dying to yourself, come and follow me) and added what was possibly a greater challenge: Your blood family (if not in Christ) is no longer your true family.
Jesus' every intention was for the church to become your new family (And those in your biological family who are Christians get to be apart of the family as well).
Jesus expects us to understand that our faith family needs to be a closer family than the blood family who stand outside of Christ.
We believe in this family things so much that we even subscribe to the idea that Jesus' intention for the church were as follows:
So...
@ FJC we emphasize FAMILY. When you decide to become apart of the FJC family, you are truly becoming apart of the FJC FAMILY!
And that is an AWESOME adventure! So what are you waiting for?
Get involved, Get some family, and be apart of the adventure that is Faith Journey Church!
We looking forward to seeing you around,
Pastor Ryan Wiemelt
